Prakash padukone, the only Indian badminton player who own major International titles like All England Championship, World Championship, commonwealth games, world cup and World Grand Prix. He was awarded Padma sri in the year 1982.
Ramesh Padukone, father of Prakash padukone initiated him into the game who was the secretary of Mysore Badminton association. After the badminton career, he is now occupying the chairman of the Badminton association and coached Indian national badminton team for a while. Prakash comes into the limelight through his daughters Deepika padukonw, a model turned actress who starred in Om Shanti om along with the Bollywood Emperor Shah rukh khan and other girl named Anisha Padukonw whose aim is to become an International golfer.
